The Professional Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at UMKC is designed for working professionals who seek to advance into, or rise within, management ranks. The Bloch MBA develops skilled managers for positions of responsibility in a global and rapidly changing society. It provides students with the competitive edge that high-performing organizations demand. The program teaches core business skills as well as social responsibility, leadership and innovation.

Courses are offered in the evening, and the program is 42 credit hours in length. Significant features of our MBA program include a cohort experience: an initial immersion experience within a 24-credit-hour sequence of core courses. This is followed by an optional emphasis area, electives and a capstone experience.

If you have a bachelor's degree in business or accounting, you may be eligible for the Accelerated Professional MBA program. This 33 credit hour program allows you to finish the program more quickly. Since you're already familiar with core business concepts, you're able to take fewer core courses and more elective courses. As an MBA student, you'll have the opportunity to participate in the "MBA Speaker Series," which are presentations and workshops designed to enrich your graduate education experience. All MBA students will attend at least three Speaker Series events during their time in the program.
