Charlotte Gilman, Peer Coach
Charlotte Gilman obtained her BA in Theatre Performance from UMKC last year. She will graduate from UMKC's Bloch School in Spring 2014 with her BBA, emphasis in Enterprise Management. Charlotte is also a volunteer for Unleashed Pet Rescue, a stage-manager, and a Halloween enthusiast. Charlotte loves her job as a Peer Coach and enjoys working with a diverse group of students.
Marie Difilippo, Peer Coach
Marie Difilippo obtained her M.A. in English Language & Literature at UMKC, Fall 2014, and continues her education with the goal of one day teaching college Composition. Marie serves as a Writing Consultant at the UMKC Writing Studio, and is honored to join the Communication Center at the Bloch School of Management. She is interested in the impact of reading and writing on social justice, inside and outside the classroom. Her favorite things include volunteering at JFS food pantry, swimming pools, and pizza.
Taryn Miller, Peer Coach
Taryn Miller obtained her BA in Business Administration from the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at UMKC in the summer of 2015. She is continuing her education by pursuing her MBA, with an emphasis in finance and marketing, through UMKC. Taryn is competing in her senior season as a member of the UMKC volleyball team. She loves to volunteer with YMCA youth programs, Morning Glory CafÃ© and The Boys and Girls Club. Her favorite things include reading, being with family and friends, and breakfast foods. Taryn is excited to be a peer coach and help others attain their graduation and career goals.
Erin Blocher, Director
Erin Blocher has served as the Director of the Bloch Communication Center since it began in 2008. She teaches at the Bloch School of Management as a full-time instructor and is the course coordinator for MGT 301: Effective Business Communication. In addition to overseeing the Peer Coach staff, Erin works as a writing coach for the Bloch School's Executive Masters programs. She enjoys being in an atmosphere of learning each day and helping students reach their goals.
