Charlotte Gilman, Peer Coach
Charlotte Gilman obtained her BA in Theatre Performance from UMKC last year. She will graduate from UMKC's Bloch School in Spring 2014 with her BBA, emphasis in Enterprise Management. Charlotte is also a volunteer for Unleashed Pet Rescue, a stage-manager, and a Halloween enthusiast. Charlotte loves her job as a Peer Coach and enjoys working with a diverse group of students.
Mustafaa Ansare, Peer Coach
Mustafaa Ansare is a senior undergraduate student of Creative Writing and Media Theory and Criticism. He serves as Writing Consultant to both the UMKC Writing Studio and the Bloch Communication Center. Outside of academia, he pursues cross-disciplinary study and advocacy of the application of science and technology toward a greater humanitarian project and transhuman values.
Sameer Joshi, Peer Coach
Sameer Joshi is a student in the MFA (Creative Writing) program at UMKC. He previously earned an M.A. in Mass Communication form the University of South Dakota, and a Ph.D. in Film Studies from the University of Kansas. A writer, poet and artist, Sameer enjoys cooking (and eating) Indian food and hopes to learn paragliding in the near future. He enjoys watching writers from diverse backgrounds fulfill their vision.
Erin Blocher, Director
Erin Blocher has served as the Director of the Bloch Communication Center since it began in 2008. She teaches at the Bloch School of Management as a full-time instructor and is the course coordinator for MGT 301: Effective Business Communication. In addition to overseeing the Peer Coach staff, Erin works as a writing coach for the Bloch School's Executive Masters programs. She enjoys being in an atmosphere of learning each day and helping students reach their goals.
