FUND RAISING CERTIFICATE program

CREATING and IMPLEMENTING the ANNUAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Fall Semester: Oct. 3-4 & Nov. 14-15, 2008 (Four Day Course)

Winter Semester: Feb 27-28 & Apr. 10-11, 2009 (Four Day Course)

All classes meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The key to a successful fund raising effort is the annual development plan, which uses a variety of fund raising techniques spread over an entire year to provide the funds needed to carry out the organization's mission.  This course details each fund raising technique then teaches the student how to blend them into an annual development plan.

Henry Rosso’s Achieving Excellence in Fund Raising (2nd edition) – ISBN: 9780787962562.  It is available at the University Bookstore located in the University Center (www.umkcbookstore.com).  You will find it in the Public Administration section (PA 5555A or B).
