Is your compensation system helping your agency perform effectively?

Are you paying what you should to get the kind of performance that you need?

If your agency is like most nonprofits, you have found it challenging to develop and administer an effective agency-wide salary and wage system that will fairly and equitably motivate and reward your employees.  But what are the elements of an appropriate system – a practical system that uses your resources wisely and treats your employees fairly as you do your best to accomplish your mission?

We invite you to join us for a special workshop that is designed to help you learn to do just this!  This special workshop, presented jointly by experts from three leading Kansas City nonprofit development agencies, will help you consider and plan how your agency can develop and implement a salary system that links work, performance, and pay.  In this special intensive half-day workshop, designed specifically for top nonprofit executives and HR officers, you will learn:

Ø      The Key Concepts and Principles of an Effective Compensation System

Ø      The Essential Elements of an Effective Salary Administration System for Your Agency

Ø      Using the Information of the Kansas City Salary and Benefits Survey in Your Agency

Ø      Salary System Design that Efficiently Motivates Effective Employee Performance

You will leave this workshop with the essential knowledge and a practical set of analytic tools that will enable you to develop or refine the salary system that your agency needs.

This workshop is presented by a team of highly-experienced nonprofit executives and HR consultants, each of whom brings their own special expertise to the subject.  The facilitators for this session include:

Ø      Larry Lee: Larry is chair of the Executive Service Corps and founder and lead consultant of Lee, Burgess and Associates, one of the leading HR consulting firms in the Kansas City region.

Ø      Mark Shuster: Mark, an experienced nonprofit executive administrator, is the Chief Financial Officer of the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City and a former board member of CANBE.

Ø      David Renz: Dave is an experienced nonprofit and government executive, consultant, and educator, and is the director of the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership at UMKC.

Join us for this interesting and informative look at the ways that effective nonprofit agencies are using well-designed compensation strategies to motivate and reward employees who contribute to agency success!  Space at this unique workshop is limited.  For more information, or to reserve your place at this special program for senior Kansas City nonprofit executives, contact the offices of the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership at UMKC (when you reserve your spot in this session we will send you a registration form so you can submit payment).  The Center may be reached by calling 816-235-5720 or sending an e-mail to mcnl@umkc.edu.

Session fee: $75 per participant ($65 for CANBE members).

Fee includes continental breakfast and an extensive set of resource materials.

Participation in this program is limited to senior nonprofit executives and board leaders.
