Know Your Organization

Visit with your company’s human resource representative about policies related to employee education and sponsorship. Determine if other individuals have been sponsored for the program (or a similar one) and, if possible, learn about their experiences in gaining support.

Know the Deadlines

The process of gaining sponsorship can take time. It is important to remember that financial decisions are often made early in a company’s fiscal year. Additionally, the Bloch Executive MBA admits no more than 45 students each year; sign-off by your organization must be attained prior to admission.

Know Yourself

Your organization may not be able to provide full financial support or easily accommodate the time required away from work. Can you utilize vacation days or flex time to minimize the impact of your time away? Are you willing to explore the use of scholarships or loans to supplement the cost of the program? How can you demonstrate your appreciation for the support provided?
