Joe Singer is a professor of business operations and analysis in the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He holds a B.S. in business administration from Morningside College, an M.B.A. from the University of Missouri and a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Arkansas.
Singer has served as the executive director of the Henry W. Bloch Center for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and teaches courses in small business management and entrepreneurship, managing creativity and innovation, and economic policy and managerial control. He has also helped to develop coursework for the Bloch School’s new Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
He is a former president of the American Society for Engineering Management and the Small Business Institute Directors’ Association. During the last 15 years, Singer has served as a project manager, engineering management consultant and professional associate for two large international consulting engineering firms.
