Nathan Mauck is assistant professor of finance at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Mauck received his Ph.D. in finance from Florida State University and his undergraduate degree in finance from Kansas State University.
Mauck teaches or has taught financial management and advanced corporate finance at the undergraduate level and advanced corporate finance, financial modeling, valuation/M&A, and international finance at the graduate level. In 2014 he was named Bloch Favorite Faculty by Bloch's graduating students and in 2015 he won the UMKC Chancellor's Early Career Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Bloch School's Elmer F. Pierson Good Teaching Award.
Mauck's primary research interests include sovereign wealth funds, mergers and acquisitions, behavioral finance, implied volatility and international and corporate finance. His work has been presented at more than 20 academic seminars and conferences worldwide. He has 13 publications including articles published in the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Applied Economics, Journal of Financial Research, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Journal of Behavioral Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis and Financial Markets and Portfolio Management.
