Nathan Mauck is assistant professor of finance at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Mauck received his Ph.D. in finance from Florida State University and his undergraduate degree in finance from Kansas State University.
Mauck’s primary research interests include sovereign wealth funds, mergers and acquisitions and international and corporate finance. His current projects include the study of the determinants of sovereign wealth fund investment, the balance between management and investor preferences in determining firm payout policy and the pricing of mergers and acquisitions in both a domestic and international context.
His work has been presented at more than 20 academic seminars and conferences worldwide. His research has been published in the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Financial Research and Financial Markets and Portfolio Management.
