Jae Jung is an assistant professor of International Business at the Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration in University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). Jae received a Ph.D. degree in strategy and international business from Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario, and a M.B.A. in international business and a B.A. in international trade from Korea University, South Korea.

Prior to his Ph.D. study, Jae Jung worked for Korea Development Institute (KDI), a leading think tank specialized in the Korean economy. Jae’s interest in international business was developed and nurtured through his internships at Kia Motors in Germany and at S.Y. Textile in Vietnam. Apart from the business world, Jae served in the 8th U.S. Army in Korea for two years as a combat engineer, detached from the Korean Army.

Jae’s research and teaching interests revolve around international strategy. Jae’s research focuses on multinational enterprises’ ownership and risk-taking strategies. His articles appeared or will be forthcoming in Management International Review and Management International. He also published two teaching cases and teaching notes through Ivey Publishing. Jae teaches International Management and International Strategy in the undergraduate and graduate programs at UMKC. Jae is a member of Academy of Management and Academy of International Business.
