Sameeksha Desai is an assistant professor in entrepreneurship and innovation at the Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration. She received her PhD in public policy and MS in conflict analysis and resolution from George Mason University, and her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University.

Dr. Desai teaches courses in the undergraduate entrepreneurship major. Her teaching interests include technical writing, policy analysis and relevance to market conditions, business plan development, and market and industry analysis.

Her research interests include: The political economy of entrepreneurship; institutions and entrepreneurship; the private sector in conflict and postconflict reconstruction; social entrepreneurship; conflict and political instability. Her work has been published in Journal of Insurance and Risk Management, Global Studies Review, Conflict Trends, Small Business Economics.
