UMKC - The Bloch School

The Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration provides a variety of opportunities for education in accounting. These programs are offered by the only school of business administration in Kansas City that is accredited by AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).

Through activities outside the formal classroom setting, the Bloch School prepares its students for accounting careers by developing a professional awareness and commitment. UMKC's urban setting provides convenient and continuous interaction with numerous organizations and professionals.

The contemporary educational standards for accountants are addressed through degree programs that lead to the Bachelor of Science in Accounting  and the Master of Science in Accounting. The department is also a key participant in a program that allows individuals to pursue the Certificate in Financial Planning.
