Develop Your Leadership EQ

Date: Dec. 7, 2012
Class Length: 1 Day
Cost: $495

How much better would our organizations perform if they were places of inspiration, passion and enthusiasm, keeping people motivated and committed? Effective leaders increase human potential by igniting employees’ passion and inspiring them to be at their best. Some attribute this ability to strategy, vision or powerful ideas. But according to Goleman, Boyatzis and McKee, the reality is much more primal. Great leaders connect through emotions.

What Will You Learn

Up to 90% of the difference between average and outstanding leader is linked to emotional intelligence. EQ is twice as important as IQ and technical expertise combined, and is four times as important in terms of overall success. Based on the latest research in neuroscience and social intelligence, this course will help you broaden your ability to use emotional intelligence in your leadership role.

Through a highly interactive format, you will assess your EI competencies, identify your strengths and challenges, and learn new strategies for increasing your personal excellence. You will also define your leadership operating philosophy and gain insight into a wider repertoire of effective leadership styles and how and when to use each. Through analysis of videos and case studies, you will increase your understanding of how to respond to emotional cues in your corporate culture in ways that engage the workforce and drive them toward greater business results.

You will leave with concrete ideas for enhancing your leadership presence and maximizing your leadership effectiveness.

Who Should Attend

Those at manager level and above who want to enhance their leadership abilities.
